Palm {Fun}day

This past Palm Sunday we worked with an enthusiastic DCE to create an interactive craft for the parishioners that would begin on Palm Sunday and extend until Easter. The parish wanted a way to encourage fallen-away members to participate in the celebration of the Easter season, so we designed a craft to help extend a welcome to them.

The design was based off a palm fan, so that many members could be used to make a whole. Incorporating colors and names was the next step.

Using many shades of green allows for the parishioners to participate as individuals and express their uniqueness, we also provided space for them to put the names of people they could invite to join them for the Easter celebration.

Finally, on Easter Sunday the palms were arranged together and displayed so that those who had been invited to attend could see their names centered around the crown of Christ.
